AgroAmerica continues to train Local Coordinators for Ddisaster Reduction in San Marcos, Quetzaltenango, Retalhuleu.

OUR PEOPLE, OUR COMMUNITY

As part of the efforts made to reduce the impact caused by Natural Disasters, AgroAmerica promotes the active organization and training of Local Coordinators for Disaster Reduction (COLRED) in the communities surrounding its operations.

Under the direction of the National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction and with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency –JICA-, COLRED directors actively operating in San Marcos, Quetzaltenango, Retalhuleu received a training workshop on the Japanese methodology “HUG” (Shelter Administration) as part of the development of Disaster Risk Management Capabilities in Central America.
