Our business is primarily growing, shipping and distributing the best Cavendish and organic bananas. We complement our world-class sustainable banana plantations with transportation and logistics services. AgroAmerica supplies quality sustainable tropical fruit to large companies and supermarkets in the U.S. and Europe. AgroAmerica is one of the largest producers of banana in Central America, Ecuador and Peru. We employ more than 7,600 employees in the production of bananas.
AgroAmerica is a member of Better Banana Project (BBP) and we have certifications from the Rainforest Alliance, Global Gap, SCS and BASC. Besides being a competitive company, we demonstrate our commitment to the welfare of our employees, communities and the environment through our Social Responsibility programs.
AgroAmérica produces and distributes banana puree made with natural, fully matured Cavendish bananas. We have our own ripening rooms, giving us the ability to adapt our product to our customers’ needs.
Banana puree can be used for:
- Bakery (Breads and Cakes)
- Drinks (Juices, smoothies, nectars, cocktails and carbonated drinks)
- Dairy products (Ice cream, fruit bars and pudding)
- Baby food
- Sauces (Ketchup, chutney and fruit sauces)
AgroAmerica exports and distributes premium pineapples grown using sustainable agriculture methods. The region in Costa Rica where the fruit is grown allows us to maintain our high quality standards all year round.
